Life Activation Challenge Day 28- Nutritional Yeast
Nutritional Yeast or Engivita is single cell fungus grown on molasses. Unlike baking yeast, Engivita is not an active yeast and will not feed or grow inside the body.
Vegans who are concerned about their B vitamin levels, should make this a staple part of their pantry must-haves list. It is rich in vitamin B12, which is scarce in plants; most vegans find themselves with low levels.
Not only is nutritional yeast also a complete protein but it melts, has a flavour similar to butter or cheese. This makes it a dream to work with and is great for soups, sauces and salads. Garlic bread, vegan alfredo sauce, crispy tofu, popcorn seasoning; Engivita can be used in almost everything!
