Life Activation Challenge Day 10
I used to sit in front of a mirror everyday and tell myself how much I hated the way I looked. I would pick and prod at my face for at least an hour every night. No makeup was every good enough and I would overcompensate in other ways so people would accept me for who I am and not my face.
Body image is a syndrome that most women in society struggle with on a daily basis. Have you ever thought about how powerful the way you speak to yourself can be? It is the difference between empowerment and self destruction.
A dear friend of mine noticed this behaviour, and gave me an assignment. I was to wake up every morning and tell myself it would be a great day. I was then to look in the mirror, smile, and say out loud to myself, “You are beautiful”. After a week of doing this my days became a lot more enjoyable, and believe it or not, my face started to clear up… I am not kidding.
The more in tune you are with yourself the easier it is to make things happen for yourself. The easier it is to give your body and mind what it needs. Things become a lot clearer and less cluttered.
