Summer Sangria

Nothing welcomes summer like a cold glass of Sangria. Not to mention a whole whack of edible garnish. Anything that comes with a built-in snack is a huge win by me. I promise you this is the most delicious and fresh sangria you will ever have. Add a cinnamon stick for some spice and take it out to your backyard with your favorite book.

Bottle of Merlot

1 lemon cut into wedges

1 orange cut into slices

1 lime cut into wedges

2 tbsp honey or agave nectar

splash of orange juice

splash of lemonade

3 ounces of triple sec or gin

1 cup raspberries

4 cups ginger-ale or club soda

1 cup diced pineapple

Pour wine to just cover orange, lemon, pineapple and lime slices; let marinate for a minimum of 2 hours. Add the rest of the ingredients and ice just prior to serving.
